Lila Glasoe Francese was born in Minneapolis. She is the recipient of a McKnight Fellowship, the Wellesley Book Award and most recently An Independent Press Award for her book The Situation. In 2016 Lila helped found Carolyn Glasoe Bailey Foundation. This non-profit art charity funds artists and provides art education programs and an artist residency through the foundation’s initiative The Ojai Institute.

Mandy Jackson-Beverly is a writer, educator, and literary content creator known for her work supporting independent bookstores, authors, and the publishing community. She is the founder of The Narrative Exchange and the host of The Bookshop Podcast, a widely recognized literary interview show featuring new and established authors, poets, publishing professionals, and booksellers. Mandy also directs the Lunch With An Author Literary Series in Southern California, producing author events in Santa Barbara, Los Angeles, and Ojai.
